Studies with Spaniards

Semester/Academic Year

Program participants will enroll in courses with Spanish students from a variety of academic disciplines, including: applied languages, translation and interpretation, business administration and management, marketing, law, journalism, tourism, advertising, audio-visual communications, industrial engineering, and computer engineering. Most courses are taught in Spanish, but some are offered in English. It is mandatory to enroll in at least two courses that are taught in Spanish. Courses are taught by faculty at the host university.

Students may participate in an intensive Spanish course before beginning their classes with Spanish students. The number of hours included in this course varies per semester.

Minimum Grade Requirement
  • Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
  • Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two upper-division Spanish courses
  • Most universities equate this as six semesters (8-9 quarters) of college-level Spanish
